Scott J. Quan is an associate of the Firm practicing in real estate, business, and corporate law, as well as litigation. Scott's real estate practice includes advising clients with respect to the purchase and sale of residential properties and commercial multi-unit properties with purchase prices ranging, to date, up to $98 million. Scott also advises land developers, landlords, and homeowner's associations, and he maintains a California real estate broker's license in addition to his law license. Scott's expertise includes:

• Drafting and reviewing real estate purchase and sale agreements, leases and other real estate documents

• Forming, transferring and dissolving business entities and interests in such entities • Advising clients regarding the legal aspects of operating businesses, including employment issues

• Counseling businesses, including medical practices, regarding regulatory compliance

Prior to becoming an associate of the Firm, Scott was a California Deputy Attorney General, and he also worked for two boutique litigation defense firms specializing in business litigation, medical malpractice, attorney malpractice and insurance bad faith defense.

Scott is a member of the California, Los Angeles and South Bay Bar Associations. He graduated Cum Laude from Tulane Law School, where he participated in the Environmental Law Clinic.

During law school, Scott interned for the San Diego Public Defender's Office, the San Diego Office of County Counsel, the United States Attorney's Office, and for United States Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy.

Scott received his B.A. from the University of California at Berkeley where he participated on the sailing team for three years. He is also a member of the San Diego Yacht Club and enjoys boating, volleyball, surfing and skiing.
